On Thursday 22 June the Leiden University Libraries (UBL) are organising an informative session on the Open Researcher and Contributor Identifier (ORCID).
Increasingly, scholars are asked to provide an ORCID id by journals and funders. But what exactly is an ORCID and why is it important that all Leiden researchers create one? This and other questions will be answered by our speakers. Maaike Duine and Matthew Buys, both from ORCID, will present on the importance and concrete applications of ORCID. Additionally, the UBL ORCID project team will explain the various ways researchers are supported in creating an ORCID and registering it in LUCRIS.
